Association "WAIETA"

The Non-Profit Association “Women's Alternative for Independence, Ethnic Tolerance and Association” (WAIETA) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the social support, development, and protection of children, families, and vulnerable communities. Through its centers and team of specialists, the association offers a wide range of social services focused on prevention, support, rehabilitation, and integration.

Support Centers
The association operates through:

- Center for Community Support

- Center for Work with Street Children

Target groups:

- All children

- Children at risk within the meaning of the Child Protection Act

- Parents, adoptive parents, caregivers, prospective adoptive parents, and foster family applicants

- Individuals in crisis or those in need of overcoming the consequences of such situations

- Families and relatives of the service users

Main Areas of Work
🔹 Advocacy and Mediation
Association “WAIETA” helps individuals defend their rights and interests through:

- Legal support in parental conflicts

- Mediation and accompaniment to institutions

- Support in accessing education and healthcare

- Assistance with document completion and administrative procedures

- Collaboration with institutions (Child Protection Services, Police Departments, schools) in cases of violence

🔹 Information and Counseling
Working with children and families in vulnerable situations:

- Prevention of child abandonment and reintegration

- Enhancing parenting capacity

- Support in cases of parental alienation

- Counseling after loss or crisis

- Support for child victims of violence

- Working with parents to prevent school dropout

- Family and psychosocial counseling

- Prenatal and postnatal care

Individual and group work for:

- Development of social and emotional skills

- Overcoming trauma (divorce, loss, violence)
