Humans in the Loop

Humans in the Loop (HITL) is a hybrid social enterprise established in 2017 in Sofia, Bulgaria, aiming to support refugees, migrants, internally displaced people and people living in conflict affected zones by providing them with an access to opportunities to develop their digital and language skills through our training and digital employment programmes. They offer free courses for adults and also career consultations. Some of the courses are:

- HITL Stars Courses - The HITL Stars program combines English language and IT lessons for conflict-affected people. We run two levels of the course simultaneously - beginner and intermediate. The beginners course covers basic computer skills and IT required for daily life, while the intermediate course focuses more on IT and communication skills that are needed in the workplace. For 12 weeks our trainers deliver the course via Zoom meetings twice a week.

- HITL Special Digital Skills Courses - This HITL programme links people who are affected by conflict with specialists in the field of programming, business analytics, graphic design and UI/UX design. Designed to give people the skills to explore new career paths and to build portfolios for freelancing, these 12 week courses run on a rotational basis and are suitable for people with a B1+ level of English.

- HITL Hybrid Business Skills Courses -  6 to 12 week programmes which focus on business skills such as digital marketing and freelancing. These courses are perfect for people looking to build their own businesses or freelancing careers.  Suitable for people with a B1+ level of English.
